About Me
I am an integrative psychotherapist based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, UK. My background combines training in both psychotherapy and the arts and I have experience working across the NHS, private practice and the voluntary sector.
I have worked in adult and perinatal mental health services in the NHS, at the Priory with acute long term clients, in a Women’s domestic abuse shelter (SAHWR) and with adults with learning disabilities at Sunnyside Rural Trust.
These roles have deepened my understanding of trauma, attachment, resilience and the impact of parenthood on individuals and families.
I am registered with the following bodies, awaiting ratification from my training institution:
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
- British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT)
- I am working towards UKCP accreditation
Art psychotherapist is a state regulated profession and requires a rigorous training, which includes 4+ years of personal therapy. The Institute for Art and Therapy in Education (IATE) where I trained, is unique in that its graduates are trained and registered Art Therapists as well as Integrative Therapists and often combine both talking therapy and art therapy.
I attend regular continued professional training sessions to keep up to date with relevant developments in psychotherapy and neuroscience. I work with a clinical supervisor to regularly review my work.
I am committed to working inclusively with individuals of different cultures, genders, sexual orientation and age.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for many years in branding and marketing. I launched the Tate and Cass Art ecommerce shops and I worked with a wide range of well-known brands including Charlie Bigham, Boden, Belvoir Cordials, Sofa.com, Biscuiteers, Gü Chocolate puddings, Womad and Real World Records.
I loved the creativity of this work and the way it connected people to ideas, experiences and everyday pleasures.
After having children, I wanted to return to harnessing my own creativity. Now, instead of building creative teams, I co-create therapeutic spaces with clients. The same skills of curiosity, vision and listening that once helped me shape successful projects now support me in helping others explore, grow, and discover new ways of living.

Frequently asked questions

My Philosophy
My philosophy is rooted in the belief that healing emerges through relationship, embodiment and creativity. I pay close attention to the earliest bonds and beginnings, to the way trauma is carried in the body and to how art and nature can open pathways to insight. I see therapy as a space to engage with both the conscious and unconscious including the parts of ourselves that may feel most difficult to face in order to find greater connection, meaning and possibility.
