Pregnancy Support
Pregnancy is a time of profound physical and emotional change. Alongside anticipation and joy, it can bring anxiety, low mood, fears about birth, or uncertainty about becoming a parent. You might be experiencing worries about your baby's health, difficulty connecting with your pregnancy, or finding that past experiences are surfacing. These feelings are more common than many people realise.
The Inner Work of Pregnancy
I offer a safe, confidential space to explore these emotions without judgment. Working at a pace that feels right for you, we can process what's arising and find ways to move towards greater ease and confidence as you prepare for parenthood. I worked for two years in NHS perinatal mental health services and understand the complex feelings that can emerge during pregnancy.
Pregnancy can be a tender time, yet the internal shifts can also feel overwhelming or confusing. The parasympathetic nervous system becomes more active and the emotional, intuitive, creative parts of ourselves move to the forefront. This can feel unsettling, but it serves an important purpose - your body and mind are preparing you. Feelings, memories, and anxieties that need attention often surface during pregnancy. These aren't obstacles to overcome; they're invitations to process and understand aspects of yourself before your baby arrives. Through therapy, we can attend to what's arising, creating space for you to move through this transition with greater understanding and connection to yourself and your baby.
